Birthday Present | Artwork Design
BJ Creative was asked to design a Birthday present for a husband in Stamford. He knew he wanted a nice picture of him and his wife looking happy together. Fortunately they had recently returned from a holiday abroady and had such a nice photograph on hand ready to use. Rather than adding the standard filter that most of the photo websites are currently using, we opted to go for a posterising and cartoon effect to ensure that the image stood out against other pieces they already had. The final part was to remove some of the flashing where the filters had left heavy black lines.
This piece was a birthday present based on the first holiday that this couple had. It was their favourite photograph that was taken and the husband wanted a lasting large-scale memory. First off we cleaned the photo up to remove any imperfections and adjust the levels to enhance the contrast and visible data. The last step was to apply numerous filters to give the poster edges cartoon effect. The final product was printed at 90cm by 90cm and mounted in a dark wood frame.
