Annabel Burtt Interiors | Website & Logo Design

BJ Creative was tasked by Annabel Burtt to build a website for her interior design business. She was looking for a solution that could convey the professionalism that she had and also some of the great examples of her work. Being based in Rippingale, BJ Creative had the first meeting with the client at her premises. Annabel was after a logo, web design and website build, as well as email campaigns.

We began the project by working on the logo design. This would be the core that all of the following work would be based upon. To begin with thses ideas were worked up in grayscale to save time and effort trying to decide on the final colour combinations. The ideas were sent to Annabel to review before settling on the final one that would then enable the start of the site build.

Logo Design

Annabel came to us with a clear impression of what she wanted her logo to look like, but without a clear physical aspect to it. We sent 15 initial ideas across for review before we were able to pin down the style that she was after. The logo was then provided to her with a central repository where she could access her logo in differing formats should she wish to have some more work done externally.

Web Design

As usual, we worked up some static images for Annabel using Fireworks so that we could quickly alter any of the graphics that she was not happy with or wanted relocated to somewhere else. We played with many colours and combinations to get the correct balance for the website and once Annabel was happy, we began the build process.

Email Design

We were asked to come up with two email designs that Annabel could send out to notify people that she was setup and also a Christmas message to her existing clients.

Annabel was very keen to hear about the way that we would build the site to get the best possible start with Google in terms of rankings. He was open to our suggested hosting providers and did not feel that we led her down the wrong path.

The Build

We built the site using Classic ASP and incorporated a contact page and google maps.

The site was initially hosted by BJ Creative on our server so that changes could be amended quickly at our end and this also then enabled us to managed the domains chosen for the website.
