BJ Creative has started working for several landscaping firms, as we are able to produce accurate 3D models of their customers gardens for a preview of the work that they may be having.
The process involves going on site to measure up accurately using a laser measurer, so that the dimensions that we use on the model are 100% accurate. This helps us complete the model to ensure no errors, but is of most importance to the landscapers so that they can use all measurements from our model to order materials etc.
We build the 3D model using SketchUp, and start by merely planning the layout of the gardens and buildings that will be in the renders. Some of these will include full houses, rivers, and driveways. Once the layout is complete, we then insert the relevant plants that are in the garden, and then make the changes that the landscapers want. This can include new pools, driveway areas, and of course many new plants. We use LandFX for the inclusion of additional plants.

Initial Concepts
Having a play with a design like this enabled us to learn the software and the intricate pieces of the layout to be able to perform what we required. Several photos of the Falcon were used to get the right proportions and the right style to the design. Tweaking these small parts using the software meant we could overlay the model over the images to identify where we could make the model better designed to the original.
One predefined idea in their head may not translate to the final artwork design, that they wish to use.
