Scout Recruiting | Website Design

BJ Creative was tasked by Jo Rudkin, the founder of Scout Recruiting, a local recruitment agency based in Stamford, to build their first website for their recruitment business. Having previously worked in recruitment, Jo was ideally suited to start this venture and wanted a website where she could instantly manage the jobs she available to her and add/edit them on the go. Applications were to be direct back to her so that she could quickly put people forward having reviewed their CV. Having previously done some recruitment websites, we were able to demonstrate key featues before we started the build, saving both time and effort from both sides to get the right result.

Web Design

The main drive of the website was to focus on giving a friendly local looking service, rather than a large corporate. We built the sites in ASP.NET 4.5, using some of the latest html code to lesson the page load times and ensure that the website was compliant with all modern browsers and mobile devices.

Jobs can be loaded on the fly, containing a customised reference for each job and the additional information that candidates need. The services are very clearly identified so that firms can identify without being lost.

The Build

We built the site using ASP.NET 4.0 and a database for the upload facility that was essential for their day-to-day business. The new site was built in its entirety as a test site on a hidden domain so that the full functionality and cross-browser and cross-platform could be tested.

The site was initially hosted by BJ Creative on our server so that changes could be amended quickly at our end and this also then enabled us to managed the domains chosen for the website.
